About Rosie Freeman
I became a Certified Paralegal in1993, graduating with Honors from Canada Community College in Redwood City, CA. While attending Canada in the evening, I worked full time at SEGA (1992 – 1998) the gaming software company. At SEGA I worked as a Production Assistant in Product Development supporting game producers for 4 years, then moved on to the legal department as a Paralegal administrating contracts required in game development. After SEGA I worked at Siebel Systems, Inc. (1998 – 2003) a software company, where I worked in the Legal Department as a Senior Contracts Specialist/Paralegal for Licensing, Alliances, and Product Marketing.
I grew up in the Bay Area and fell in love with the Yuba River where I started backpacking while in my teens. I purchased my home in Nevada City in March 2001, and moved there permanently in March 2004, working for attorneys for 4 years and finally establishing my own business as a Certified Bonded and Registered Legal Document Assistant in April 2008. During a period of time, I also worked for the Nevada County Superior Court Public Law Center covering a full-time Paralegal’s long-term medical leave, which significantly increased my experience assisting the public in a wide variety of cases.
In my own business, I enjoy helping people offering them much needed assistance with the documentation required in our court system nowadays. My clients often comment on how my involvement relieves a lot of stress for them and how they really appreciate my taking the time to explain the documents to them so they understand them fully. Knowing I have contributed in a positive way by helping to alleviate much of their stress, in turn, provides me with a strong sense of accomplishment and fulfillment I grow to appreciate more every day!!
